There's still one large part of my life that's up in the air - whether or not I'll be hired for this postdoc I interviewed for. There seem to be two outcomes:
1. Mad, crazed, stressful rush to finish dissertation in order to start awesome postdoc July 1 with pay scale increase and no period of unemployment,
2. Leisurely finish dissertation this summer at my own pace, while able to enjoy life, but have period of no income and have no idea when the next (cool) job will come up.
I think I've decided to cross my fingers for scenario #1... but I'm still a little torn.
The strategy seems to be the same - work my booty off to make significant progress and be 98% finished by July, and keep the potential postdoc advisors updated of said progress. Oh, and exercise so the stress doesn't win.
